This workshop is for women and couples interested in learning more about a natural approach to pregnancy and birth.

Nearly all cultures have traditions around the care of mother and baby in the first forty days after birth. In modern times this is the period known as the ‘fourth trimester’. The focus of the postnatal period is on rest, support, warmth and nutrition.
Some of you may already be aware that despite a high level of evidence of their efficacy and valued use in chronic conditions, Naturopathy and Herbalism join a list of therapies that health funds will be banned from covering from the 1st of April 2019.

There are a myriad of nutritional and herbal supplements available to purchase online, in supermarkets, chemists and health food stores. It can be difficult for consumers to know the difference between good quality and inferior products.
The World Health Organisation attributes at least 2.7 million deaths globally each year to low fruit and vegetable intake. According to the Australian Heart Foundation only 5.5% of adults consume the recommended daily intake of fruit and vegetables. Research now suggests that we should double previous guidelines and aim for x10 serves a day to lower the risk of heart disease, stroke, cancer and premature death.
